Ok, the Black Dog EOD Resin Figure is finished. Anyone who thinks that resembles a scene from a movie, is in fault.
Maybe i’ll retouch a bit the car and probably i’ll wash out a bit of dust, but nothing important.
Here the complete gallery:
The figure was airbrushed using Tamiya Colors, starting from a Nato Black base, then Nato Green, Flat Green and highlights made with Dark Yellow and Deck Tan:
The back of the car was closed with Polyester Putty and refinished with Squadron Green Putty:
Then the car received a Tamiya Flat White base and a Flat Red/Flat Yellow mix for the orange areas:
The base preview:
I’ve remodeled the right hand using Tamiya White Putty the 2 components epoxy putty.
This way the EOD Operator is able to grab the M92 in a more proper way:
Nothing more to say, to work with the fine, white tamiya putty i’ve used, as usual, the Silicone/Rubber Tip Brushes (mostly known as Clay Shapers or Color Shapers) bought some time ago and incredibly useful.
I recomend to buy only the 0 size and the Black/Firm type. The Gray or White type, that are labeled as “Medium” and “Soft” are practically unusable with this kind of materials…
Painting time! First color base using Tamiya XF-55 XF-67 and XF-27b, thinned with Nitro , applied with airbrush.
The new work is 1:35 scale figure scene, and it’s about a staredown between an EOD operator and a taxi driver… copyright infringement or just ispiration?
Work starts with a light remodeling of the right hand, to adapt it to the Beretta M92.
Then is time to cut in two the Arii Gloria, the only 1/32 car i’ve found able to look alike an old taxi:
